When I was looking to apply for the Small Business Saturday #SmallBiz100 award I knew I was going to need help. My area of expertise is in the technical detail of what we do, and honestly, I find it difficult to shout about the things we do.

I’ve known Rachel for a while now and have seen her bring several of her clients success in regards to bids, tenders & award entries. I reached out to Rachel as I needed the benefit of an outsider to help me craft the message and make sure it was worded appropriately. I also needed someone that was well versed in taking a message and making sure it fit into the guidelines, rules and character counts of a strict application process. We had an initial meeting before agreeing on anything formally, and already she left me with plenty of information, tips & advice. It was clear to me that Rachel is passionate about the work she does and helping others shine their light. This was exactly the kind of help I knew I needed. It can be hard to ask for help sometimes, but Rachel is a true professional and made the whole process easy. She set a plan of action, we set deadlines, she delivered ahead of time, I applied & subsequently won a place in the #SmallBiz100.

I know Rachel will play down her involvement, but in my mind, without her help, we wouldn’t have won our place in the #SmallBiz100 2019. If you’re considering applying for a business award, or have some bids or tenders that you want to make the best impression possible on, I would highly recommend a conversation with Rachel.

We worked with Rachel on a grant funding proposal, it was our first time submitting anything of this nature so working with Rachel was an obvious step to take.

From the beginning Rachel was so helpful with the whole process, giving us the benefit of her vast experience which was really useful.  Rachel set a clear timetable and was really clear in the information that she required from us.  We were able to ask Rachel lots of questions, none of which were treated as stupid.

Rachel was one of my first calls a couple of months later to confirm that we had been successful with securing the grant allowing us to move forward with our plans and support our customers through reopening post COVID.

I would highly recommend Rachel to other business owners looking to put in proposals for funding.
